The Challenge & Design Objective
The Core Friction
Telematics providers faced chaotic operations: field technicians verified GPS installs via WhatsApp photos, SIM recharge tracking relied on spreadsheets, repair requests had no hardware diagnostics, and device inventory was perpetually out of sync across regional warehouses.
The UX/UI Solution
Engineered VelvetGPS as a unified 13-module enterprise suite combining high-density desktop monitoring for dispatchers with a touch-optimized step-by-step tablet workflow for field technicians, complete with automated IMEI barcode scanning, GPS antenna validation, and ticket routing.
My Design & Architectural Responsibilities
Lead UI/UX Architect: Researched field technician environments, sunlight legibility, and high-density dispatcher workflows.
System Design & Tokens: Created color-coded status badges, tabular data grids with instant search, and touch-first checklist modules.
Information Architecture: Mapped the 13 interconnected operational workflows into intuitive sidebar navigation with role-based visibility.
