A Predictive Farm Management Dashboard

1. Introduction & Context

Project Introduction: We are proposing the development of Project CGF, an intelligent, data-driven dashboard designed to transform raw farm data into predictive, actionable insights for the leadership team.

Business Context: The business operates multiple farm sites, and currently lacks a centralized system to monitor and compare performance across locations. Supervisors update disconnected databases, making a holistic, real-time operational view impossible.

Our Objective: To design and build a centralized, multi-farm dashboard that aggregates data from all sites. The goal is to empower leadership with tools for real-time monitoring, cross-farm benchmarking, and predictive forecasting to improve efficiency and profitability across the entire enterprise.

2. Requirement Understanding

Functional Requirements (What it will do):

• Centralized Multi-Farm Management: A single dashboard to view KPIs, flock status, and alerts from all farm locations.
• Supervisor Performance Tracking: A dedicated module to manage line supervisors, their assigned farms, and track their visit frequency, including date and time of visits.
• Real-Time Monitoring: Live status updates for every flock across all farms.
• Alerting System: Automated, farm-specific notifications for abnormal conditions.
• Forecasting & Benchmarking: Forecast performance and costs for each flock, with the ability to benchmark flocks against others within the same farm or across the entire company.

Non-Functional Requirements (How it will perform):

• Scalability: The architecture must support adding new farms and users seamlessly.
• Data Segregation: Ensure data from different farms can be securely managed and viewed based on user permissions.

5. Concept & Suggestions: The Dashboard Functionalities

Level 1: The Leadership Overview Dashboard

• Global & Farm-Level KPIs: KPI cards showing enterprise-wide totals, with the ability to filter the entire dashboard view to a specific farm. A dedicated KPI for total active Line Supervisors.
• Flock Health Matrix: A comprehensive table of all flocks from all farms, with clear "Farm" identification for each entry.

Level 2: Supervisor Management Module

• Supervisor Roster: A filterable list of all line supervisors, showing their contact details and assigned farms.
• Visit Tracking: Detailed logs of farm visits for each supervisor, including date, time, and frequency (weekly/monthly), to ensure compliance with operational protocols.
