The Challenge & Design Objective
The Core Friction
Traditional hotel management systems are notorious for clunky, disjointed legacy software: front desks use archaic desktop applications, guests are forced to wait in long lobby queues for physical check-in forms, and property owners struggle with manual phone inquiries and disjointed channel managers. Furthermore, hotel groups lacked a unified multi-property command center that integrates room inventory, housekeeping, energy efficiency, and financial auditing into a modern web experience.
The UX/UI Solution
Engineered ClassyStay: a comprehensive hospitality ecosystem encompassing: (1) Modern customer booking engine with day/hourly filters and contactless mobile check-in; (2) Interactive Tape Chart room timeline for front desk staff; (3) Multi-role access control tailored for Super Admins, Property Managers, Receptionists, Accountants, and Auditors; (4) RFID smart keycard management with automated room electricity logs; (5) Deep Inventory Wizard for dynamic rate management; and (6) Automated financial reconciliation with audited GST reports.
My Design & Architectural Responsibilities
Lead Product & Systems Architect: Designed the end-to-end information architecture, dual customer/admin flows, and 7-tier role permission hierarchy.
